Bactigras is a soothing, low adherent antiseptic gauze dressing which allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing. It is ideal for minor burns and scalds, lacerations, abrasions and other skin loss wounds, donor and recipient graft sites and leg ulcers.
It can be used where there is a risk of infection, or on already infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotics.

This Bactigras dressing is impregnated with 0.5% chlorohexidine acetate, a broad spectrum antiseptic to reduce the risk of infection and the efficacy of the antiseptic is not affected by blood or serum.
Made with a soft paraffin base and interlocking threads, the dressing maintains shape with minimal fraying when cut.
Demonstrated to be effective in-vitro and in-vivo against MRSA, it reduces the risk of colonisation and is proven to be antiseptically active against a wide range of Gram positive and Gram negative organisms.
