This cast protector is a comfortable, easy-to-use, self sealing protector which can be submerged.
There is a cellular neoprene seal which has a wide band of contact and therefore does not pinch the skin or feel constrictive whilst the main body is of a pliable waterproof material and is roomy and slip resistant.
The product is British designed and manufactured, with patents for design and manufacturing process granted or in process.
Initially designed for Orthopaedic use to protect plaster or synthetic casts it rapidly became clear that the product had wider applications in the wound area, where the non-contact nature of the main body of the LimbO made it particularly suitable where any pressure on the wound was undesirable.
We recommend that these cast protectors are only used for 20 to 25 minutes at a time. Because they are airtight, the cast or dressing can become quite warm, causing sweating.
* Circumference is measured 4cm (1.5``) above the cast, which is where the seal will grip

* Consists of a durable calendared PVC/Nylon mesh sleeve with welded seams, bonded using a unique process to a nylon covered neoprene seal.
* High quality materials, complying with BS3878: 1982(Flexible PVC sheeting for Hospital use) and BS5852 Part 1: 1979 Match Test for flame resistance.
* It contains an antimicrobial treatment providing protection against bacterial and fungal attack.
